Financial Assistance
The Virginia BPW Foundation     offers several types of financial assistance to individuals and organizations.

Scholarships
Career Advancement Scholarship (CAS)
The Career Advancement Scholarship Application is the umbrella for three scholarships, the Buena M. Chesshir Memorial Women’s Educational Scholarship, the Karen B. Lewis Career Education Scholarship and the Women in Science and Technology Scholarship, each with distinct purposes and eligibility criteria.  
 
Nettie Tucker Yowell Scholarship
The Nettie Tucker Yowell Scholarship is intended to provide financial aid to Virginia young people pursuing a baccalaureate degree at a Virginia-based college or university.  

Fellowships
Louise Whitman Foreign Study Fellowship
The Louise Whitman Foreign Study Fellowship is intended to provide financial support to businesswomen who are members of BPW/VA to study the business conditions in foreign countries, with particular reference to the status of women.  

Grants
Reality Store    and Choices Matching Funds
The purpose of the grant is to provide matching funds for Virginia-based groups that plan to conduct a Women Helping Girls with Choices or Reality Store    project that furthers the Virginia BPW Foundation’s mission.  
Examples of such projects include, but are not limited to mentoring programs, mother/daughter small discussion groups, financial management seminars for adolescents, career planning activities, and Reality Stores

Forums and Special Programs Matching Funds
The purpose of the grant is to provide matching funds for Virginia-based groups that plan to conduct a forum or special program that furthers the Virginia BPW Foundation’s mission to provide information, resources, and educational opportunities to current and future workingwomen in Virginia.

General Grant
Virginia BPW Foundation is interested in granting funds for speakers, workshops, and other opportunities that further the goals of the Virginia BPW Foundation.  Applicants must establish the opportunity, challenges, issue or need and the community/audience that the proposal addresses and explain how it fits the Foundation mission.
