Reality Store and Choices Matching Funds
The purpose of this grant is to provide matching funds for Virginia-based groups that plan to conduct a Women Helping Girls with Choices or Reality Store project that furthers the Virginia BPW Foundation’s mission. Women Helping Girls with Choices programs were initially developed by the Girls Clubs of America, Inc., and adopted by the Business and Professional Women/USA and the Virginia BPW Foundation to help adolescent girls prepare for successful futures. Reality Stores were developed by the Indiana Federation of Business and Professional Women and shared materials were adapted by the Virginia BPW Foundation for organizations and communities in Virginia to use. Matching funds up to $250 are available.
Eligible applicants are community or professional groups based in Virginia and associations, non-profit organizations, or other non-profit entities based in or maintaining an official office in Virginia with an interest in improving the lives of future workingwomen.
Examples of such projects include, but are not limited to, mentoring programs, mother/daughter small discussion groups, financial management seminars for adolescents, career planning activities, and Reality Stores .

Forums and Special Programs Matching Funds
The purpose of this grant is to provide matching funds for Virginia-based groups that plan to conduct a forum or special program that furthers the Virginia BPW Foundation’s mission to provide information, resources, and educational opportunities to current and future workingwomen in Virginia.
Matching grant funds will be considered from: community or professional groups based in Virginia and associations, non-profit organizations, or other non-profit entities based in or maintaining an official office in Virginia with an interest in improving the lives of current and future workingwomen. Applications for grant funds will not be accepted from individuals or for-profit businesses or corporations.
Examples of such forums or special programs include, but are not limited to, legislative or candidate forums, seminars to further the improvement or development of the capabilities of business and professional women, individual development programs, speakers who address issues important to workingwomen, surveys or other research projects into current state and local problems of importance to the community and to workingwomen, and meetings and conferences of those interested in the study of the role of women in business and the professions.

Virginia BPW Foundation is interested in granting funds for speakers, workshops, and other opportunities that further the goals of the Virginia BPW Foundation. Applicants must establish the opportunity, challenges, issue or need and the community/audience that the proposal addresses and explain how it fits the Foundation mission.
